The Democracy Heroes Awards voting process begins with individuals and organizations submitting nominations, which are then screened for eligibility and appropriate category placement. The Online Entry Process (OEP) Access Period took place from July 17, 2023, to August 31, 2023. First Round Voting is scheduled from October 11 to October 20, 2023. Final Round Voting will occur from December 14, 2023, to January 4, 2024. Voting is conducted online, allowing participants to select categories of interest and view the current vote counts for each nominee. This transparent process ensures that every voice counts in determining the recipients of the Democracy Heroes Awards.

Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Access Holdings Plc, owners of Access bank Plc, Herbert Wigwe and his counterpart in Heritage Bank Ltd, Ifie Sekibo are subjects of an ongoing online electioneering exercise on who emerges winner of the Most Prolific Banker of the Decade. 

Sekibo is slightly leading with 22 per cent of total votes cast with 615 votes while Wigwe has 21 per cent with 602 votes. 

Top Nigerian leaders are set to be honoured at the upcoming Democracy Heroes Award Africa in recognition of their contributions towards the enrichment of democratic norms in the nigerian society and the African continent as a whole. 
 
They include, Governor of Kaduna State, Uba Sani, his Niger counterpart, Mohammed Umar Bago and the Chief Executive Officer of Zamfara State, Dauda Lawal.

In a communication addressed to Ambassador Boakai, the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Democracy Heroes Africa (DHA) Tenth Edition (an initiative of the FDN Projects), Olufunsho A. Ajagbonna, 

 
Niger State Governor, Farmer Mohammed Umaru Bago has received an award as the “People’s Choice of the Year 2023”.
The award was presented by the Face of Democracy Nigeria (FDN) projects at the Niger State Liaison Office, Abuja.
The Farmer Governor appreciated the organization for finding him worthy of the award.
He dedicated the award to the people of Niger State, for their love, affection, support and trust to have voted for him to govern the State.

Hon. Abubakar Kabir Abubakar Bichi, member of the House of Representatives for Bichi Federal Constituency from Kano State and chairman of the House Committee on Appropriation, has bagged the Reps of the Year 2024 Award.

Democracy Heroes Award Africa conferred the award on him in recognition of his contributions towards the enrichment of democratic norms in the Nigerian society including offering sponsorships to his constituents in Bichi Local Government at all levels and provision of infrastructure developments in the area, among others.

In a momentous announcement, Democracy Heroes Award Africa has bestowed one of its highest honours upon His Excellency, Malam  Dikko  Umaru Radda, the governor of Katsina State. 
 
Governor Radda is set to receive the prestigious Democracy Heroes Award for the eleventh edition in 2023.
 
The confirmation of this remarkable recognition was marked by the presentation of a certificate, bearing the signature of Mr. Alexander Olufunsho Ajagbonna,  (Fajag) Project Director, Face of Democracy, FDN. 
 

The founder and Chairman of BUA Group, Abdulsamad Rabiu, the Chairman Dangote Group of Companies, Aliko Dangote and South Africa’s Patrice Motsepe are currently locking horns on who emerges the African Entrepreneur of the Decade, 2023.
